Welcome to the City of Santa Fe's Street Department!

The City of Santa Fe is committed to ensuring that our streets remain safe, accessible, and in excellent condition for the benefit of residents, visitors, and businesses alike. As part of this ongoing effort, we prioritize street paving and repair projects that enhance the quality of life in our community, while also promoting efficient and sustainable solutions.

The Street Department plays a vital role in maintaining and improving the City's infrastructure, focusing on repairs, upgrades, and paving work that help prevent further damage and reduce long-term costs. We understand that well-maintained streets are essential for transportation safety, economic development, and overall community well-being. Our approach to street paving is driven by a commitment to perform work in the most cost-effective manner possible, ensuring that taxpayer dollars are used responsibly and that projects are completed efficiently.

Our goal is not only to address the immediate needs of our streets but also to create a long-term plan for ongoing maintenance and improvements. We carefully evaluate the condition of streets throughout the city to prioritize projects that will provide the greatest benefit and improve the overall transportation network. By utilizing modern paving technologies and sustainable materials, we aim to extend the lifespan of our streets and minimize future maintenance costs.

On this page, you’ll find information about current and upcoming proposed street paving projects, expected project timelines, and how these efforts contribute to the broader goal of keeping Santa Fe’s streets safe and functional. We encourage residents to stay informed, as we strive to keep the community connected, informed, and engaged throughout the paving process. Together, we can ensure that Santa Fe remains a great place to live, work, and visit.

Please note that, of course, all work is subject to funding availability, and all timeframes are proposed or expected. Additionally, the City may need to make changes to any planned list due to unforeseen circumstances.

Do you think that a different street needs attention first? Or do you know of a pothole that needs to be fixed? Please report it to us by clicking here so that we can examine the issue and make plans for repair.
