Street Department
The Street Department is responsible for maintaining and improving the City’s streets, rights-of-way, and related infrastructure to ensure safe and reliable transportation for residents, businesses, and visitors. The department works year-round to keep roadways in good condition and to support the overall appearance and functionality of the community.
Key responsibilities include:
- Repairing and maintaining city streets
- Performing street resurfacing, patching, and pothole repairs
- Installing and maintaining street signs and pavement markings
- Managing drainage systems and rights-of-way to reduce flooding and enhance safety
- Supporting emergency response efforts by clearing roadways during storms or other events
- Coordinating with other departments and utility providers on infrastructure projects
- Replacing and setting culverts
- Mowing ditches and city right-of-way
- Trimming trees
