City of Santa Fe Resiliency Center

School's Out

The Santa Fe Resiliency Center (SFRC) was founded through a unique collaboration between the City of Santa Fe, Santa Fe ISD, the Family Assistance Center, the Gulf Coast Center, Texas Children's Hospital, Region 4 ESC, and Innovative Alternatives. These organizations united in response to the mass violence incident at Santa Fe High School on May 18, 2018, to provide essential support and resources to the community.

Following the tragedy, the City of Santa Fe received a Victim Assistance Grant, making free counseling and related services available to individuals directly or indirectly impacted by the event. On July 1, 2020, the City selected Innovative Alternatives (IA) to oversee SFRC operations, leading to the grand opening of its new location shortly thereafter.

The Center's compassionate professionals aim to creates a safe and supportive healing environment for those affected. Through counseling, school-based services, and outreach, SFRC counselors and staff have assisted over 46,000 individuals on their path to recovery.

Summer Break Shouldn't Mean Struggling Alone

When school is out, many children, teens, and families lose access to some of the daily support systems they rely on.

The Santa Fe Resiliency Center remains open all summer, providing counseling (and a support group) for children, teens, and adults.

Whether you're facing stress, anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, or simply need someone to talk to, help is available.

We're also working to make services as accessible as possible through virtual options and community support. *We’ll be adding a pizza / lunch component to one day per week with proper support for scheduled clients.

Hope Changes Everything.
