About the Workshop
When customers search online for restaurants, shops, services, or local businesses, does your business appear?
“Click to Customer: How People Actually Find You Online” is a practical, easy to understand workshop designed specifically for small and local businesses. This session will break down how Google search works and provide simple steps businesses can take immediately to improve their online presence.
Topics will include:
- How Google decides which businesses appear in searches
- Simple ways to improve your Google Business Profile
- Why customer reviews matter and how they impact rankings
- Easy website updates that can improve visibility
- Common mistakes businesses make online
- Quick wins you can implement right away
This is not a highly technical workshop. The goal is to provide real world tools and practical guidance that business owners can actually use.
Whether you are just getting started or looking to strengthen your online presence, this session is designed to help local businesses better connect with customers searching online.

ABOUT THE SANTA FE EDC
An election was held on May 5, 2001, where the resident qualified voters of the City of Santa Fe approved an additional one-half of one percent (one-half (1/2) cent) Sales and Use Tax.
The City of Santa Fe Section 4B Economic Development Corporation is organized for the purpose of aiding, assisting and acting on behalf of the City of Santa Fe, Texas to promote and develop projects authorized by Article 5190.6, Section 4B, Texas Revised Civil Statutes, as amended, including, but not limited to , economic development projects identified as public works infrastructure improvements, specifically water/wastewater expansion, drainage, and streets and roads, including the maintenance and operation expenses for those projects developed with economic development funds designed to promote new or expanded business enterprises.
The Economic Development Board consists of seven persons. Directors of the Corporation shall be appointed by position to the board. Each Director shall serve for a term of two years or until his or her successor is appointed by the governing body of the City unless the Director has been appointed to fill an an unexpired term in which case the term of the Director shall expire on the expiration date of the term of the position he or she was appointed to fill. Any Director may be removed from office at any time, with or without cause, by the governing body of the City.
The Economic Development Board meets on the last Tuesday of the month at 7:00p.m. at Santa Fe City Hall. Agendas are posted in City Hall and on the website on the meetings and agendas webpage.

Do you want to be an EDC board member?
EDC is governed by Santa Fe City Council. All projects, funds, and board member applicants will be voted on and approved by City Council during council meetings. A resident can apply to serve on the board. This position is a non-paid volunteer position. Your application will be given to City Council for review. You will be notified by staff with the date your application will be on the agenda. Staff will notify you if you are appointed to the EDC board. If you are not chosen to be on the board, your application can be refiled and you may be placed on a waiting list. The application to apply to become a board member is at the bottom of this screen. Please complete it and turn it into City Hall.
